Strangely enough, the most exact scientific, technical and social forecasts concerning the future are given not by professional futurologists or any other experts, but by creative personalities, such as writers, film directors and even poets.

Nowadays the time between the moment of a scientific forecast and the time, when it becomes true is shortened to several years, sometimes even months. The time between the invention of paper and its practical use was 1,000 years; the similar period for the steam engine was 80 years. Examples may continue with 20 years for the plane, 3 years for the transistor equipment, half a year for the laser and 3 months for the fax. But all these inventions had nothing to do with the ontological essence of homo sapiens, they simply expanded some of human physical abilities.
David Levy, an expert of artificial intelligence, chose to question the most sacred thing about people – their sexuality. In his book Love and Sex with Robots: The Evolution of Human-Robot Relationships he described super sex for everyone 24/7. Levy believes that humans will be making love to robots already by 2025.” By that time robots will be very much like people, the scientist thinks.
“From the evolutionary point of view fantasies about grand sex non-stop are more typical of adolescent and juvenile sexuality,” Alexander Kantor, an expert in psychology said in an interview with the Nezavisimaya Gazeta. “It lies in the peculiarities of male sex hormones (they reach their peak at 15-25 years), on the one hand, and, on the other hand, in the fear before the romantic component of sex (love), which requires more complicated and unpredictable feelings and emotions, etc. Controllable cyber-technological devices allow men to remain the masters of their own feelings and thus be less dependent on women’s sexual excesses and their romantic ideas,” the scientist said.
But these ideas were borrowed from Steven Spielberg ’s science fiction drama Artificial Intelligence: AI released in 2001. The story is set in the middle of the 21st century. One of the film’s main characters Gigolo Joe (Jude Law is brilliant in this part) is a robot-lover charged with the homicide he had not committed.
“This information is not new,” Igor Kon, a well-known Russian sex expert said. “Any technical innovations spread over human sex life. If you recall the history of printing, radio, television or the Internet, you will see that all these things were used as additional sources of erotic stimulation and varieties in sex life. Robots are not an exception. People have long made love with plastic dolls, and a real human-like robot is much more interesting and attractive, of course. The question of creating an artificial woman is discussed in myths as well (Pygmalion and Galatea’s story),” he said.
But David Levy believes that sex with robots will come in handy for disfigured and reserved people, who have difficulties in finding partners for romantic relationships.

“As for lonely and reserved people, I think (and it is partly based on my psychological experience in the clinic) that these people lack romantic and idealized relations.” Alexander Kontor emphasized. “However, the possibilities of robots should not be underestimated. If robots with individual erotic experiences are created, for example, with such programs as “the romantic girl,” “femme fatale”, “hero lover”, etc., then who knows which heights of the Golden Age we may reach…Maybe, there will be no jealousy or envy, suicides or passion then?,” the specialist said.
“Sex with robots, as well as virtual sex, may help lonely people who cannot find a partner for this or that reason.” said Igor Kon. “But it will never be on the same level as the mystery of lively and spiritual human bodies. The potential danger is that most people may take the line of least resistance, but this takes place already now (for instance, some people only masturbate or have virtual sex).”
Anyway, will this “robotic” sex entail some unpredictable psychological metamorphoses? “I think we have no reason to either rejoice or get terrified because of this,” professor Kon says. “The major human difficulties are not of a technical, but of a communicative character – how to find a kindred spirit and get rid of loneliness,” he added.

In films als A.I. speelt seks met robots al een rol. Volgens deskundigen doen we het over een paar jaar allemaal met dergelijke machines. Afstotelijk, of stiekem best lekker?
Dat je niet zomaar alles op Youtube mag zetten vind ik logisch. De meeste mensen kijken ernaar op het werk en dan is het niet echt handig als tussen de dagelijkse dosis filmpjes opeens de nieuwste cumshots verschijnen. Bovendien zijn er ook duizenden jeugdige Youtube liefhebbers, en die moet je daar natuurlijk niet mee confronteren.
Maar dat de trailer van de film The Sex Life Of Robots van de site werd gehaald, slaat werkelijk nergens op. De film, gemaakt door kunstenaar Michael Sullivan, is juist een prachtig kunstwerk. Ja, je ziet wat neukende robots - alleen maar eigenlijk - maar om nou te zeggen dat het schokkend materiaal is, nee. Dan zou dit kunstfilmpje wat mij betreft ook dubieus moeten zijn. Gelukkig heeft Wired de trailer alsnog online gezet.
Over robots en seks gesproken, volgens computerdeskundige David Levy is het nog maar een kwestie van een paar jaar voordat het ‘normaal’ is dat we echt seks hebben met robots. En hij denkt niet alleen dat seks normaal wordt, maar ook dat we over een jaar of veertig verliefd gaan worden op en relaties zullen krijgen met robots.
Hij heeft natuurlijk gelijk. Als je ziet hoe realistisch sommige robots inmiddels zijn en hoe bepaalde mannen al om hun realdoll geven, is het inderdaad maar een kwestie van tijd. De filmindustrie voorspelt het ook al een tijdje. Kijk maar naar Cherry 2000 (excuses voor de verwarrende vertaling) over een man wiens geliefde robotvrouw stukgaat tijdens een vrijpartij. Of naar A.I. van Spielberg waarin Jude Law de seksrobot Gigolo Joe speelt. Je hoeft alleen maar aan 2001, A Space Odyssey te denken om te weten dat zulke ideeën zo gek nog niet zijn.
In die Kubrick-klassieker belt Dr. Floyd zijn dochtertje vanuit de ruimte via beeldtelefoon, zonder enige vertraging. Dat was in de jaren zestig nauwelijks denkbaar, maar inmiddels kan iedereen het. Zo zal het met robots ook gaan. De gedachte dat ik me door een robot zou kunnen laten nemen vind ik nu nog afstotelijk, maar ja, als ik in de voorverwarmde, voorgeprogrammeerde en onvermoeibare armen van het Jude Law exemplaar uit A.I. zou belanden, zou ik vrees ik toch niet tegenstribbelen.

They have word from a leading researcher at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands, Dr. Levy, who seems to think peeps will be getting freaky with their robots by 2012, with marriage following by 2050. One thing is for sure; Gizmodo shall be supporting the revolution all the way! Dr. Levy said:
"Once you have a story like 'I had sex with a robot, and it was great!' appear someplace like Cosmo magazine, I'd expect many people to jump on the bandwagon."
We are thinking you could probably drop the phrase "with a robot," as well as the blurb after the exclamation mark, and still have us convinced. Dr. Levy goes on to suggest that Massachusetts will be the first state to contain a robot-human sexing population. He justifies his theory by stating:
"Massachusetts is more liberal than most other jurisdictions in the United States and has been at the forefront of same-sex marriage."
Though we aren't too sure the reasoning is sound, we have already seen Roomba owners gaining an emotional attachment to their machines. Whether they will be putting their winkles in the Roomba's dinkle and allowing it to have a tinkle, we very much doubt. However, if sexbots get this real (NSFW), well, perhaps the ethics of robosexuals is a serious debate, after all. Het is wel innovatief maar het zal nooit de ervaring van echte sex kunnen vervangen. Een warm kronkelend lichaam naast je, de lieve woordjes die oprecht tegen je gezegd worden ... Ik kan me best voorstellen dat dit voor sommige mensen een uitkomst zal zijn, maar er gaat niets boven echte liefde. En volgens mij is dit gebaseerd op de standaard 'recht toe recht aan' sex. Een sexueel rollenspel, of het ten uitvoer brengen van andere fetisjisme zal met een robot behoorlijk lastig worden ![:wink:]()

Heb eens een doc op tv gezien van een vent gezien die wel 15 van die poppen had.. En een vriendin. Maar die werd gek van die plastic vrouwtjes. Ze eiste toen ook 'het is zij of ik'.
