Je wiet afbakken?

Someone asked a while back about if it was possable to make your pot more potent or to turn **** weed into good weed. The answer is yes. If you can find the machine. My memory wasx rocked when I was reading my 1979 High Times Magazine. There was two companies that put out machines that could make your weed up to 800% for potent and make hash and hash oil too, as well as other stuff.

One was called an iso2 and the other was the KIK sysstem. Its ad says "**** To Gold" Don't get Ripped Off . . . Get Ripped! I always wanted one but I never had $69.00 back then. I wonder if you find these anyplace anymore.

The very short answer is YES. It does affect potency in a very positive manner. Drying and curing cannabis after harvesting for few days to several months will improve the potency, as well as the taste and texture of the buds.

Drying bud converts crude acidic THC from its nonactive form (CBG) into a neutral pH psychoactive substance (THC). Each THC molecule has to lose it's moisture content in order to become fully psychoactive. This is because cannabergerol (CBG) is the non-psychoactive precursor for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

When the water exits the bud, the THC becomes slightly different in molecular structure.

Heating can make THC readily active by immedietly vaporizing the bud's moisture content away. However, as Fatima also mentioned, aging is important too.

First the bud is "dried", but can still contain some moisture within. By using the "cure", the THC slowly becomes psychoactive. Curing builds a more uniformily dried bud with a better burn and taste.

The samples were air dried at room temperature and oven dried overnight at 30°C prior to extraction.

The ISO2 was a fairly safe extracting device with a light bulb under the base connected to a dimmer switch, similar to a lava lamp. Alcohol (99.7% isopropyl) was placed in the basin of the metal container and heated by the bulb underneath. Suspended above the alcohol was a halforb mesh strainer filled with marijuana. When alcohol is heated it turns into a vapor and rises, so in the ISO2 the vapor ‘melted’ the resin, which then dropped into the alcohol. The vapors came out of a twelveinch tower of carbon, inert and odorless. After 30 to 60 minutes all the resin was transferred to the remaining alcohol in the basin, and then the alcohol evaporated into the air or was heated gently until only the THC oil remained.

Isomerization: This method is out of "Dr. Atomic's Marijuana Multiplier,"
one of those early 70's doper pamphlets. This process assumes you have pure
hash oil to begin with.

* Dissolve the hash oil in absolute ethanol or pure methanol in the ratio of
one gram extract to ten grams solvent. There must be no water in this
solution, as the next step is the addition of one drop of 100% sulfuric acid
per gram of extract.

* Add the acid slowly, drop by drop, stirring slowly and completely, with a
long glass stirring rod.

* Place a Pyrex pot containing the extract-alcohol-acid solution into the
refluxing apparatus and reflux for two hours. The acid will not evaporate
and will remain in the Pyrex pot. Allow to cool.

* Take the cooled solution, pour with an equal volume of water and 1/2 volume
of petroleum ether into the ether-extraction apparatus (separation funnel).

* Allow to settle, and drain the ether extract layer.

* This leaves an ether-extract-acid mix from which the acid must be purged.
To accomplish this, pour the ether-extract-solution into four volumes of 5%
sodium bicarbonate solution (1 gram bicarb. in 20 grams of water). This
will neutralize the acid, releasing CO2 and leaving a solution of sodium
sulphate.

* Allow this to settle into layers, then drain the ether-extract layer.

* Mix the ether-extract solution with an equal volume of pure water and let
it separate.

* Drain off the ether-extract layer.

* Evaporate the ether and what remains is hash oil in which all of the
cannabinoids have been converted into THC.

Oh my, having just typed all this in, I thought to check my copy of "Cannabis
Alchemy" for a method. Not only does it concur with this method of
isomerization, it has lots of whiz hints on fractionally distilling hash oil
to get an ultra-pure product. It also claims that if you convert THC to its
acetate, it becomes very potent and psychedelic. Yow.

Er zijn dus nog wel manieren om je hasjolie meer potent te maken...

1: conversion of cannabidiol, a non-psychoactive compound in the oil, to tetrahydrocannabinol resulting in greatly increased potency, conversion of low-rotating thc to the higher-rotating isomeric form. Dit zie er aardig simpel uit om zelf uit te voeren.

2: Hetzelfde als het stukje van jou van" Dr. Atomic". De hele bende nog eens converteren naar THC acetate, "THC acetate has twice the potency of THC".

Die stap 2 lijkt me wel wat lastiger om uit te voeren... je moet een half labaratorium bouwen.

Het effect van hasjolie die omgezet is in THC acetate is ook meer psychedelic dan gewone hasjolie, en het duurt 30 minuten voor je de volledige effecten voelt (da's apart, dat heb ik ook als ik mijn vaporizer gebruik...)

Man! ik wou dat ik scheikunde nooit had laten vallen!

Het lijkt er idd op dat dat afbakken bullshait is, maar ik heb ook ergens gelezen dat het verwarmen op juiste temperaturen de thc beter oraal actief is. Zou alleen niet verklaren waarom ze in die thread allemaal gillen dat het zoveel betere high geeft als ze het roken.

In ieder geval heb ik weer wat te prutsen als ik de BHO extractie op m'n eerste oogst gedaan heb!

In de hennepplant is ∆9-THC slechts voor een klein deel in vrije vorm aanwezig. Het grootste
deel van de stof is aanwezig in de vorm van zuren (THC-zuren) die bij verhitting, bijvoorbeeld
door roken of koken, spontaan tot ∆9-THC decarboxyleren.
Omdat de gebruiker in de praktijk wordt blootgesteld aan de totale hoeveelheid ∆9-THC is er
in dit onderzoek voor gekozen om de totale hoeveelheid ∆9-THC in de aangekochte cannabismonsters
te bepalen. Hiervoor wordt de cannabis tijdens het analyseproces zodanig verhit
dat alle THC-zuren worden omgezet in vrije THC. Hoewel de meeste andere cannabinoïden
zelf niet psychoactief zijn, of slechts in beperkte mate, zijn sommigen in staat de effecten
van THC te versterken of juist te remmen.

303-10 en voor CBN, Lipomed THC-377-10.

Chlorofyl is wateroplosbaar en is het gene wat volgens mij voornamelijk word weggehaald met deze methode.

Als de plant normaal zou zijn gedroogd, dan zou dit chlorofyl omgezet zijn in suiker,..waardoor de wiet lekker zoet smaakt.

Watercuren komt eigenlijk op hetzelfde neer, het verwijderen van ongewenste stoffen en de potentie verhogen. Een verschil is alleen dat de smaak, geur en het uiterlijk niet worden behouden. Het water verwijdert veel ongewenste stoffen zoals bladgroen en zetmeel, maar verwijdert ook veel flavonoiden en terpenoiden. Een ander belangrijk voordeel van watercuren is dat het kort duurt en niet ruikt!
