"Dear psychedelic user(s), We are conducting an observational study investigating the time-course of the “psychedelic Afterglow”. We are looking for participants who will consume a psychedelic drug completely independent from whether they would participate in this study or not. Little is known about the psychological effects of psychedelics on its users outside of laboratory settings. Since research on psychedelics is possible again, we depend on recreational users to advance our knowledge on psychedelic effects, helping both clinical studies and our general understanding on how psychedelics work. Are you planning to do a psychedelic drug in the coming weeks, and would you like to help us investigate the Afterglow effects? You would answer daily questions (3 minutes) on your smartphone 3-7 days before your trip until 2 weeks after. Additionally, we ask you to perform two short tasks on your computer. In total, the questions and tasks you would complete add up to 1.5 hours, spread out over 17-21 days. If you are interested in joining this study, you can download the “Ethica Data” app in your app store and join study number 2743. Please do this 3-7 days before your planned psychedelic trip.
