Halifax police arrest alleged door-to-door drug seller
March 29, 2012
A door-to-door salesman going around a Dartmouth neighbourhood yesterday wasn't selling vacuums. Police were called to Albro Lake Road at about 6:30 p.m. after residents reported a man going door to door trying to sell drugs.
Officers arrested a man, who allegedly had a variety of prescription drugs and a weapon described as a combination brass knuckle and switchblade. Once in booking, police said the man caused minor property damage.
A 43-year-old man is expected to appear in Dartmouth provincial court charged with drug offences, possessing a prohibited weapon and mischief under $5,000, Halifax Regional Police say.
